  • Ride the Tobu Nikko bus heading for Chuzenji Lake and make the stop at Akechidaira. I was not lucky. Arrived here and it was empty because the fog was so thick and no one rides the ropeway..  more »
  • And to take a break so that traffic is up hill from the right lane to the akechidaira, 拝memasu man of the mountain. However, eight ago the parking lot has been closed. According to the opening hours of aerial tramway parking lot is released.

  • Nikko-Kinugawa trip when I visited. Where is in the middle of the No. 2 iroha-Zaka slope, away from street side, is the end of the two-lane road. Scenery overlooking Lake Chuzenji, Kegon Falls and nantai-San at the ropeway opens. It is great especially that encompasses Lake Chuzenji and Kegon Falls. To reflect the rays of the Sun and the good. Said people around the water of the falls, there are usually more. I look more spectacular and there are water-and thought. I recommend going once, future cars other than the small kiosks in some significant other is nothing is better than looking closely at the waterfall views and I will.

Where to stay in Nikko

Rich in history, culture, and nature, you'll be pleased to find that Nikko also boasts a rich variety of accommodations. Competition may be pretty fierce at peak times, but make your reservation early and you'll be able to find somewhere to sleep that suits your style. Luxury hotels and boutiques with "onsen" (traditional Japanese spas) never stray too far from the river, while hostels and guesthouses tend to be tucked away on side streets, and up in the north of town. Mid-range and standard hotels lie close to the main train stations and by the main plazas.
