Shakujii Park, Nerima

4.3
#38 of 374 in Parks in Tokyo
#Nature / Park, #Must See
A haven in the huge city, Shakujii Park offers large areas of lush greenery, equipped for peaceful strolls, leisurely boat rides, and affording some of the best birdwatching opportunities in the metropolis. With two large ponds, the park has attracted a wealth of bird life, with many examples of waterfowl making there home here. Be sure to bring along a pair of binoculars to get a good look at kingfishers, night herons, and cormorants, among others. Being the site of a ruined castle, which stood between the 10th and 12th centuries, the park houses several small Shinto shrines. • Shakujii Park name is hard to read (Shabu Yen the betting going) of station Seibu Ikebukuro line shakujii-kōen station becomes a JR ogikubo station, Seibu Shinjuku line shakujii-Metro station under the kamiigusa station between any bus access is possible. (However during daylight hours only) can also paddle boat park is clean, has a space in the middle that it surrounds in the pond and is paid at the pond. Also equipped with parking is also quite good access by car, so nice holiday or event, or flea market, just by looking in the fun Park, recently, West to indoor swimming pool in the library and the traveler. The biggest event in April. "Teru Festival ', you'll find spring and early summer and is done in memory of the Toshima clan that ruled this area long ago my daughter and wife (it clearly does), this is done. As the event in other words, many people at this time is a very difficult situation but it's just tradition and cherish has said. Are you interested please let that go.

  • I think large and natural park. Playground in its own way. Often see a spectacle such as jogging or enjoying seeing cherry blossom. During the summer beetle, so early in the morning, looking for people.

  • South walk from Seibu Ikebukuro line shakujii-kōen, arrives at the boat landing shakujii Park in 7 to 8 minutes. The road is narrow in the bus needs attention. This time I visit in a park beside the birthplace and Museum in the exhibition of Fujisawa Shuhei. Shakujii Park to wander around a pond and you can 1周 in about 30 minutes. There is also aboard the Swan from the boat landing, take it easy. Soon at the end of March cherry blossoms around the pond in pink carpet the area. Plum tree was beautiful today. A great fall foliage. The scale is no greater near the well head Park, enjoy.

  • A large and beautiful park refreshingly free of tourists. The lake is lovely. There are countless great picnic spots.
  • Eat your heart out Yoyogi park. Shakujii is the best park in Tokyo hands down. With trees, water, and everything else you need in a park this is my escape from the buzz of the city.
  • LOVE Shakuji kouen. it is am beautiful place to go for a walk. The trees are beautiful all year round.
  • good place to relax, take a walk, and play something such as tennis, baseball, etc.
