Naritasan Park, Narita

(4.6/5 based on 340+ reviews on the web)
Head up to Naritasan Park, a green area with plentiful features, located at the back of a hilltop temple. Opened in 1928, the well-maintained park covers an area of 165,000 sq m (1,776,045 sq ft), and its expanse combines both Western and traditionally Japanese features. Dense wooded areas provide ample shade under the multicolored canopy of the leafy trees, while three lakes act as focal points for gentle strolls through the grounds. Stop in the onsite museum of calligraphy for a welcome taste of culture in this scenic oasis. A visit to Naritasan Park represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Narita vacation route planner to plot your vacation.

  • Located in Chiba Prefecture, global warming, while fall and seen the spectacular fall foliage. Cherry blossoms in spring are clean as recommended. Because Japan Garden Show guests from abroad also love it.

  • Big pleasant park. Statues, trees, grass, lakes, temples - all are beautiful and peacefull. You can just watch or take a walk, there are many stairways.  more »
  • Huge park behind the temple. It's only a 10-15 minute walk from Narita station. Lots of paths and couple ponds too, it's also a good place to see sakura.  more »
