Inspirock Rating:
4/5 based on 170+ reviews on the web
Surround yourself in evergreen scenery and immerse yourself in nature at Wakakusa Hill. Almost completely covered in grass, the 342 m (1,122 ft) high hill provides you with a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for a picnic while you enjoy views over the nearby town. As you follow man-made trails around the mountain, you will come across deer who call the local area home. Once a year, a festival in which locals burn the dead grass of the hill takes place, a tradition that supposedly originated in 1760. According to legend, it was the result of a boundary dispute between two temples. Choose to start, finish, or center your holiday on a trip to Wakakusa Hill by using our Nara itinerary planner.

  • 很奇怪这个景点排名在如此后面,这个景点完全可以排进前三,能够充分感受自然与人的和谐,尽管一年当中只开放两个季度,但是山上的风景不是其他地方所能够比拟的
  • When you come to NARA Park on a sunny day, come little mountain climbing to try. And up on the car if you don't have the time, if you have time please come climb on foot.
