Art House Project, Naoshima-cho
(4.1/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web)
Art House Project allows Japanese and foreign artists and architects to turn abandoned buildings into large-scale art installations that help visitors discover the everyday life of a small fishing village. Scattered around the neighborhood, the houses are almost impossible to find without a map, some help from locals, and interaction with other travelers, which makes the whole experience seem like a treasure hunt. Do not miss a replica of the Statue of Liberty and the glass staircase at the Go'o Shrine. • South Temple is recommended. Can the experience of enlightenment according to the valet who came. Restricting the number of underground art exhibition here and so must be aided in waiting times in the season positively here. Better but still wait until the time outdoors, so summer is some mosquito repellent.

  • We have seen the House projects have been deployed in the village area of Naoshima. The transparent stairs inside the dentist's house or the statue of liberty, from the ground to the ground over, reminiscent of ice, was impressed by the imagination of the writer. Also, noticed the diversity of contemporary art art community also participated. Much work, however, you want to go once again did not.
