Farm Tomita, Nakafurano-cho

(4.4/5 based on 850+ reviews on the web)
Colorful blossoms abound at Farm Tomita, an expansive network of flower fields that remains best known for its lavender, a traditional favorite of the island. The verdant farm, nestled in the forested foothills of the surrounding Tokachi Mountains, grows everything from poppies and baby's breath to roses, though lavender truly takes the cake here. Browse the shop after wandering to pick up a range of lavender-themed, lavender-flavored, and lavender-infused goods, like pastries and creams. • In Hokkaido for the first time last summer, the family vacation, we went to Furano. Blooming Lavender lots of what looks like a purple sea, family, was impressed.

  • 5 or more, six-time has come. Increased farm was the first car parking spaces in wait a bit irritatingly, but from a few years ago to grow parking so big buses can be parked "dootto customers increased" will also stay, eat ice cream and soft serve ice cream and resting place. However, when flowers bloom better tell people to visit some beautiful season and was naked in nothing not to know and helpful knowledge; I say "ey, bloom not done".

  • That would be in the first example, but there are many tourist farms now not limited to Furano, nationwide cucurbitaceous flowers is here to farm Tomita success as an individual flower. Like flowers, beautiful people have memories like long time ago now so vast was not, today, many tourist buses, groups, came the smile is seen here embroidered.

  • Beautiful, beautiful place. Not much more to say. Its recommended to NOT do a day-trip from Sapporo, as i did, because by the time you get there, it'll be late, and it'll only leave you a few hours in Furano. Drive here, or stay over night as there is a lot to see along with other farms in Biei
  • Full of Lavender and free to visit. Get-off at the Lavender farm station (Train stops only in the high season, July) with few minutes walk or at NakaFurano with 15 min (Japanese) walk ;)
  • This place was great and I would have given it 5 stars if we hadn't also gone to Nakafurano. Tomita was really great with tons of shops and things, but also incredibly crowded. I had a more relaxing experience at the other fields we visited, but that's really the only downside of Tomita. Recommend.
  • We were here today 6th.oct, and now is not lavender season so they replaced the farm with other multi color flowers. Love it. Entrance is free. About 15mins walking distance from naka-furano JR station.
  • Amazing lavander field and lots of other flowers. Must try lavander ice cream, so unique and delicious.
