Yachimun Street, Naha

Categories: Neighborhoods, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
3.8/5 based on 500 reviews on the web
Instead of all the neon and modern Japanese style, Yachimun Street offers something completely different: a limestone-paved road full of ceramic studios, stores, and galleries. The street came to prominence 300 years ago, when the Ryukyu administration decided to gather all the potters in one place for a singular purpose--to produce ceramic jars. As you explore the calm neighborhood, visit the onsite pottery museum to learn about the history of this area. Observe local artisans as they pay homage to their heritage and make works of art on a daily basis. If you love the craft, you can also join the pottery-making classes to hone your skills with professional guidance. Use our Naha tour planner to visit Yachimun Street on your trip to Naha, and learn what else travelers and our writers recommend seeing nearby.

I felt and of course price Studio is cheaper, but if you think place, are sold at a reasonable price.
