Shrikinjocho Stone-Path Road, Naha

(4.1/5 based on 440+ reviews on the web)
A winding cobbled lane flanking the south side of Shuri Castle, Shrikinjocho Stone-Path Road once represented a major thoroughfare frequented by high-ranking samurai. Constructed during the 16th century to link Shuri with the Naha port and southern side of Okinawa, the path was originally 10 km (6.2 mi) long. Today, only 300 m (984.2 ft) of this historic route remains. Tread carefully along uneven ground, past 300-year-old akagi tree groves. At the base of the slope, take a break at the open-air rest house, where you can relax on tatami mats and listen to the soothing sounds of the nearby spring. • This is located slightly more than 1km from the castle and is a great place to take a slow walk. This is also the path which lead to the 300 year old tree.
  • Or we did not get asked in the beginning will unthinkingly go to Okinawa, SHURI Castle, close to the local people look at? and told me if I asked. There is a good atmosphere. Take a break at a coffee shop on the way. Relax, it was good for the trip.

  • Descended from SHURI Castle and went for a little stroll. I think because the atmosphere is quite steep and cobbled Shoes Sneakers or trekking is good. Have say large Akagi in SHURI Kinjo trees go, serve only one wish.
