  • Shikina-en Garden in Ryukyu Garden was built in the Ryukyu dynasty, is one of the components of a world heritage site. I think garden composed of plants typical of Okinawa was restored as many buildings are worth seeing.

  • This garden was once the site of a royal palace but other than that it was unremarkable. Maybe we were unlucky in the time of year that we visited.
  • This is the garden reflected the historical relationship between Okinawa and China. Does not shikinaen alone even though a world heritage site, is registered. It is registered along with the other eight heritage, as has become the "Ryukyu Kingdom gusuku sites and related". So alone here "it is a world heritage site? Ordinary garden, and it's ", said that it is should not be. You must be understood as a part of a whole. But even without that, in a wonderful garden, and worth a look. You want to reach people early in the morning when it is. Also, you can see the characteristic streets of Naha white concrete shikinaen located Hill.
