In one corner of the new city of Naha. Has a distinctive look, so I don't forget. Each museum, Art Museum and permanent exhibition and temporary exhibitions, is charged separately.

Museum of art and the Museum are getting together. The Museum would be interested in a slew of even better. The Museum is quite nice. Understand the history of the Ryukyus. Explained in the speech, video, is easy to understand. I think tourism exhibitions, such as Okinawa's climate and ecosystems, from here to watch and understand things in Okinawa.

Great museum with nice meeting room and facilities. Friendly knowledgeable staff with plenty who speak English and are eager to help.

I only saw the art museum section. There's a nice little collection, but you definitely can't spend the whole day there and you might be hard-pressed to even spend an entire morning there. With that said I loved the gutai pieces and I thought the Okinawan artist exhibition was very politically charged and left me with a lot to think about. They did not have any English recordings to listen to and you could not take pictures or even use a pen according to signs. The price was ¥1000 yen for the art museum.

Parking here is easy. The history and geography side of the museum are my favorites. The art exhibition was not as nice, IMHO.

Well organized and informative about the history and art of Okinawa. About 20 minutes walk distance from Kokusai Street.

An informative museum with free audio guides. A good first stop to learn about the place, history and culture before exploring the different cities. After visiting the halls, I had fun in the interactive room where I got to experience being an archaeologist by matching the blocks and learnt how to play the Okinawan musical instrument, sanshin.
