Tsuruma Park, Nagoya

(220+ reviews on the web)
Nature / Park
The oldest park and the best cherry blossom viewing spot in Nagoya, Tsuruma Park encompasses both Japanese and Western styles. The west side of the park displays the European influence fashionable during the site's construction in 1909; note the large water fountain and a gazebo for musicians. By contrast, the east side features a Japanese-style garden. The park has plenty of space and seating, perfect for picnics and long strolls. Try to identify the many types of flowers and trees, including Yoshino cherry, Japanese andromeda, flowering quince, tulips, and camellias. Using our international travel planner, Nagoya attractions like Tsuruma Park can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

  • One of the best park in nagoya city center. Excellent place for hanami (cherry blossom)
  • Very nice beautiful Japanese traditional park. Not too large. Many activities on weekends.
  • Very easy park to get to from Nagoya station. Pretty flowers from red roses to Cherry blossoms.
  • This is a great park in a great area of Nagoya. There is always something happening whether it be a beer garden, food truck event, or local festival. In the spring it's the place to for cherry blossoms, and it's a hotspot for Pokémon GO and Ingress.
  • A great park in central Nagoya. Take some time to relax and watch the turtles in the pond.
