  • Near Nagoya Station (Sakura-Dori line Kokusai Center station is the nearest station), and Horikawa. The district is the city of Edo was destroyed in bombing of Nagoya City Nagoya, but escaped after World War II. 見処 old town a storehouse with streets of fire-prevention study road and along the way to roof. Attractive old building was converted into galleries, cafés and restaurants. Endo-JI shopping street is recommended.

  • There is a stone monument near the Torii of the Asama Shrine at a few minutes walk from Nagoya International Center quad road and Hwy. You can enjoy and save the old town streets, old buildings are being renewed such as cafes, restaurants, galleries and open so.

  • It is a quiet street lined with houses and old warehouse in Nagoya. The building itself has become a restaurant and small shop, located off the beaten path.

  • Historical street with random shops and cafes
  • Old Japanese buildings are kept. Small fancy shops are in. A Japanese Sake bar which serves local (expensive) one in on the river side.
  • Read the pathways of lynching. To prevent fire in the warehouse, as once was done is hamachi. District have left their traces is a large road (shikemichi) is. Nagoya-Shi sikemiti's photos (shikemichi). Nagoya City burned in the air raid, but here is some remains. A valuable heritage of Edo culture. At the Nagoya International Center back Horikawa went in one place; Fire-resistant walls protect the town from fire duty was large. Many buildings burned in the bombing of Nagoya Nagoya, Nagoya Castle burned down during that time.

  • The renovated warehouse, old houses, restaurants, etc., is walking and eating are fun. I think Endo-JI shopping street stretches his legs while walking here, and become a good walking trails.

  • Cafe, stroll along the way. It is a nice place. Walking from Nagoya Station (subway sakuradori line Kokusai Center station is preferred) (10-15 minutes) and that's unlikely.

Where to stay in Nagoya

The central district, just south from the castle and its gardens, houses the bulk of accommodations in Nagoya. You'll find a good range of standard hotels, with onsite restaurants, simple rooms, and perhaps a pool in this area. Look slightly to the west, or closer to the castle,to find more luxurious accommodations. Across the surrounding residential areas, take a look close to the metro stations to find some of the most conveniently located, but budget-friendly hostels and guesthouses.
