Nittai-ji Temple, Nagoya

3.5
Kakuouzan Nittai-ji is a Buddhist temple located in the city of Nagoya, Aichi prefecture, Japan. Nittai-ji was built in 1904 in order to keep the ashes of Buddha, which the Kingdom of Thailand gave to Japan. ”覚王” means Buddha and “日泰” means Japan and the Kingdom of Thailand in Japanese. Usually, each temple in Japan belongs to a religious sect. However, Nittai-ji doesn’t belong to any religious sect. Every three years, 19 religious sects take their turn to dispatch a chief priest to Nittai-ji. Usually, the ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand visits Nittai-ji on his birthday.

  • Live close to, so go to a shrine 1 time a month. In the large precinct is used as well as a massive memorial service, though. (Beautiful, fresh green leaves of azalea and cherry blossoms in spring and early summer, autumn leaves) is 21, is a Festival of Kobo Daishi, crowded with big freak. A lot of stores. Has recently opened a lot of new and wonderful shops, so young people are increasing. Station is also there and is safe for the elderly. Also at the entrance to throughout the season, the Festival is there, so check out our recommended. Hotel Matsuzakaya Department store founder Mansion (Yangzhou Hui Zhuang), is now open to the citizens, so take a look there too good might be.

  • Subway Higashiyama line kakuozan from lazy walk up a gentle slope and exactly what has main gate located a good distance. From the main gate was surprised at the vastness of the site of the first. I thought and every part of each institution's size is larger. Also not faded at all, staff management, was always neat and tidy. Housed swamiji Tower a little away from the main temple is the famous stupa is connected on site, once out, general way to walk for a while. I extended a foot to the entrance of the shrine Tower, but only until the middle of the grounds going was. I did'nt so people come here.

Where to stay in Nagoya

The central district, just south from the castle and its gardens, houses the bulk of accommodations in Nagoya. You'll find a good range of standard hotels, with onsite restaurants, simple rooms, and perhaps a pool in this area. Look slightly to the west, or closer to the castle,to find more luxurious accommodations. Across the surrounding residential areas, take a look close to the metro stations to find some of the most conveniently located, but budget-friendly hostels and guesthouses.
