In the middle of the road, and a Chinese-style gate, "tojin Yashiki" and sign out. But is that the atmosphere is not much. It's too deserted shopping street. First of all, in front of the "Earth God Temple" is arrived. Earth God (the God of fukutoku-positive), protect land and homes as the God of good harvest, money-making, clinical disease, China since ancient times from God has faith. Again, seems indispensable God of money from the Chinese. History of Chinese settlement of 1639 seclusion, forgiven only in two countries of the Netherlands and China trade. Christian ya smuggling to crack down on the Edo shogunate, enforced that only Chinese in this area. Wooden row houses dozens of buildings, often Chinese about 2000 people lived in it. Further, go back down the street and you will see "Hau Temple". "God of the sea" (like Mazu) are enshrined here. This is the next "Temple". This arch-shaped gate tojin Yashiki era is a thing. Stone will remain through the ages. Tojin Yashiki say House is rarely, was only now remains only the shrines and temples, such as the object of their faith.
