  • One pillar Torii, or thought is was apparent in the photos from previous meetings, but want to visit, this time visited Nagasaki. Show hand turn from the alley and go for a while in front of the stone, to stand on one pillar Torii came fast and furious eyes. And not even 1 km distance from the hypocenter, withstand the blast and heat, while one in pillar unbalanced often hurt my heart while I thought that no one was left. From that terrible time in 1971 so this kept on standing, this Torii are we talking something like.

  • The famed stone, one legged Tori Gate is all that survives from the atomic blast. The gate has been kept in its post-explosive state as a reminder of the destructive force of the bomb.
  • Despite the blast of the atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki, uprooted the Sanno shrine Torii was blown from the remained only the right hand pillar, it is seems to be origin of Torii this one. Placed near the Torii debris collapsed, 0/1945 events are left intact. Immediately seen also from omote通ri, so take a look.
