Togakushi Shrine Okusha, Nagano

4.5
Head up the foot of the mountain to find a number of sacred places when exploring Togakushi Shrine Okusha. Visit the five separate Shinto shrines in three different shrine areas--known as the lower, middle, and upper--taking the time to walk between each of them, absorbing the relaxing atmosphere of the woodland, and learning about the stories behind the shrines as you go. With each of the three shrine areas located about 2 km (1.2 mi) apart, the walk between them can be tough, but richly rewarding for those able and willing. • There are bus from Nagano station alpico traffic before. GW during the morning at 8, but here was about 8% and Nightlight. On the way riding the most. And get off at the door concealed back entrance was about 2 km until the shrine, but along the way, warmed my heart with cries of Warblers and cedar trees with good views. The breath has expired in the last uphill. Return it to the Skunk cabbage trail, has been enjoying a clump of Arum lilies. Just bear it was seen this morning, seems to want a Bell of bear repellent just in case.

  • With my wife and 5-year-old daughter, the late 70's I went with five. Father in law and give up at Suginami tree and wait. Aimed at the shrine in the rest of the members. GW, so was showed hustle and bustle in a lot of people, but managed to reach the goal. Power spot have ranged about 30 minutes to worship at the shrine to visit before it was very reasonable. Holding her daughter! Good luck but was afraid of the shrine, was walking alone. After the visit, the bride who recovered from shoulder! Neat, I have a headache! I was and become energetic ^ _ ^ my mother-in-law is muscle soreness the next day, and I overslept. Not climbing, but firmly, limber up the challenge.

  • At the end of the golden week. Bus tours in Shinjuku, 7. 11:00 30 arrival to the parking lot of the shrine. General car put in traffic to enter the parking lot. This small shrine in person, how much? Walk back from gate 40 minutes. 3 kilometers of road. Rest on the way to the stairs from 1 kg. I waiting? It was lined up atop the shrine, its, but to go to the shrine visits. Great. I give up visits to the shrine visit, with its bow. I was hungry. Even our nokyo-Sho, but waiting for 2 hours. Get, enjoy, on the note. Not too hard, let me pray.

  • A very tranquile hiking experience. Takes about 35-40 min from the parking lot/bus stop. A gentle incline up until the last 10 % of the walk where it gets a little bit more challenging. Hiking shoes are a big + due to the rocks and gravel. Beautiful pine and cedar trees all along the journey.
  • Legend says Mt Togakushi standing behind this shrine, the last of 5 Togakushi Shrines, was thrown all the way from Kyushu to here. The powerful one who did it is Amenotajikarao-no-mikoto, the main deity of this shrine. People in Japan have long redarded this place as the holy and powerful. When you visit here, you will understand why this is a part of the very old legend.
  • During winter the whole shrine is under snow...
  • A peaceful place that totally different from popular tourist spot. Really worth going.
  • Please God heaven power hand male life (天野 tairyōbata AX only) Samson regained brightness in the world, pulled, when Amaterasu peeked out of God. Seemed to say akimitsu former zenkou-ji Temple, Temple, Mt. koya and Hiei shoulder to shoulder or was it seems, but here the atmosphere reminiscent of the temple was there. Mid-April, the approach to a shrine is gooey with snow and meltwater. Stairway of the company where the stairs are buried in snow, it often glide slope. We recommend that you come and visit in the shoes of the waterproof. I think there are things such as stock or stick if possible and easier. I thaw seems done! BTW 埋moremasu interfered with snow, taken the legs. Office is closed but served nokyo-SHO of the shrine and its medium.
