Inokashira Park, Musashino

Must see · Park · Scenic Walking Area
Breathe in the fresh air of Inokashira Park, a welcome green lung offering a range of attractions. Founded in 1918 in what was then a suburban area, the park stands in testament to the growth of the capital throughout the 20th century, and now offers welcome respite for city-dwellers. Admire the blossoms and the main lake, taking a boat trip out onto its waters to gain a new perspective on the park. A small shrine, petting zoo, and aquarium form the park's cultural highlights, making for good focal points during a number of long ambles around the grounds. • I went here during my lunch break for a stroll on the park and was very impressed with how nice it was. There are pedal boats, cafes, a stage area, and lots of great places to take photos. Plus it wasn’t overly crowded. Pros: - Great date spot - Japanese temple - Cafes - They do sell beer in the park if you drink - Lots of trails and paths - Open space and stage area for performances Cons: - Bugs, you should bring or wear insect repellent
  • Must seen if you like squirrels. We even had few of them in our shoulder. They come over if you stay calm and quite.
  • Wonderful park with excellent view and a very nice sanctuary for birds and animals. I enjoyed my morning walk here very much, with local Japanese on their morning workout / jog. If you are on your way to the Ghibli museum, then this park is a pretty good spot to visit.
  • It's a sweet park surrounding a cherry blossom tree lined lake. Good restaurants around, shopping to be done and paddle and row boats to rent. Only down side is there are no rubbish bins anywhere so you either have to walk around with your trash or people litter. Wish they could fix that
  • To be honest, walking in the park before 6am is the best relaxation time for me since I was a kid -- during daytime? Just go to Peppermint Café and enjoy your lunch!
