  • The aquarium is part of the Ocean Expo. The aquarium requires admission but the other locations do not have a fee. There are restaurants spread across the park and inside the aquarium as well. Parking...  more »
  • I can't think of another aquarium that has live, huge whale sharks. We were so amazed at the variety of scope of the sea life there. Some of the largest viewing tanks I've ever seen. Well worth the $1...  more »
  • It is a trip took 4-year-old daughter and 1-year-old son. Son for a long time in the car movement is still difficult accommodation Ocean Expo Park within walking distance is. 6 days, I came four times. The impression is insanely crowded. Morning at 8:30 (varies by season) is still available, but, students can visit from 9 - 10: era case twice and will be quite noisy. After 6 p.m. is pretty much vacant. What is a rattle. Hotel is 60 minutes, longer than 90 minutes if you look terrible, so 10 minutes? There was another reason for the evening featured the Ocean Expo Park in the 19:00 season, but their beauty is dimly lit Ocean Expo Park can explore the sea puts up to 20:00, so go past 7 pm. Walk is limited, but very nice sunset.

  • My family and I are nearing the close of our one year pass and I'm a little sad. I take my boys almost every holiday they have off of school and they love it! My 11 year old groans a bit, but now that we've discovered the many other things around the aquarium, he groans less. They LOVE the ropes outside of the aquarium and we've gone to the planetarium a couple of times. I still need to take them to the village! There's so much to do in that whole area, it's really amazing. The aquarium itself is pretty amazing. Large tanks with a huge variety of sea life and a huge tank with giant, slow-moving whale sharks I could sit and watch all day. The boys love the shark area, as well. Such a fun experience, though I won't renew our year pass. A year was enough for my kids, but I'm sure we'll be back to enjoy the other things around it, like the free dolphin show!
  • Amazing, fun tourist location. Great for whole family and any time you have guests visiting the island. You can spend a whole day here if you're so inclined, exploring the gardens and walks. Or you can keep it short if you just want to hit the aquarium and cultural center. There's plenty of parking, as well.
  • Very crowded after noon, so make sure to come early, otherwise you won't see much because there are lots of parents with small children and their strollers... I loved everything there (beautiful species !) and the main aquarium / tank was very impressive, but I do find it sad to put whale sharks in such small spaces. I do hope they release them after a few years :(. About the restaurant near the whale sharks : I do not recommend this place unless you want to have something to drink. The food isn't good :/. The shop is very cool. You'll definitely find nice gifts for everyone.
  • Huge place! It's not just an aquarium, but also featured beautiful gardens with tropical plants, a nice beach, and a village with traditional Okinawan houses, among many other things. I was there for a whole day and could not finish seeing all of the places. The aquarium itself was also really cool - very big and had a lot of regional species which was great. The Okinawan waters are beautiful, and I'm glad I got to learn about them in detail!
  • Big and well organized aquarium with a big free car parking just next to it. There is a ticket to the aquarium itself, but there also many places that you can visit for free, and this is what we did. You can walk around, see the dolphin show, the turtle pools etc etc for free. It's absolutely recommended and look forward to going there again.
