  • Frankly, this side of view is very good but not as spectacular as the other side. If one is a completist, views from both sides of Amanohashidate should not be missed. If time is tight, I would sugges...  more »

  • The view of the spit from this observatory is magnificent. Visitors here turn their back to Amanohashidate, bend over, and view it through their legs, said to then look like a bridge to heaven. I felt...  more »

  • It's a very scenic view of amanohashidate but if o had to choose again, i wouldnt visit because of the cost of the train ride. Despite having a JR pass and riding on a JR train, the portion of railroad between fukushima and amanohashidate is privately owned and will set you back 1400 each way.
