  • Visit excursion since high school. Arrived in about a 10-minute walk from the station. Walk towards the aoshima Shinto shrine and March from the bridge around left and right coast begin to appear. Once the submarine was raised, rest stops the hard strata, waves eroded the soft geology became the current form. Feel the flow of time to the greatness of the power of nature, stopped for a while, waiting.

  • Qingdao sightseeing when I went. Qingdao is a beautiful place. If weather is not washing plates and shrine where demons either see it slowly relaxed tour is great.

  • Kyushu is a lot of natural wind, it is recommended the ghost of the Palace of the washing board and the Green Island Shrine. It took a small bus ride from the palace station to see this magnificent view and no regrets!

  • Simply amazing. Must visit. Walk around the whole island and to the lighthouse!
  • Known both as the 'devil's/ogre's washboard', while you may see these unique rock formations caused by natural formation and erosion as you travel all over Aoshima, it is only around path leading to the Aoshima Shrine that you will be able to walk right up to the formations without the risk of being washed out to sea by crashing waves. If you are travelling to this island on your own, the most efficient way is to take the bus that specifically stops right outside the shrine. If you are taking the bus from Miyazaki train station, go to the information booth just beyond the entrance doors to the bus terminal and ask for the bus timetable. There are two different sets of times depending on whether it is a weekday or weekend. There is a very helpful gentleman at the information booth that can speak English and can give you an English information timetable. On board the bus, announcements are made over loudspeaker as to the upcoming stops in 4 different languages- Japanese, Korean, English and Mandarin. If you are also planning to travel to other tourist places in Miyazaki, then the best value for money is getting an all day buss pass, that will allow you to hop on and off for 1000 yen per adult the whole day. These passes can be bought at the information booth. Be aware that transport here, as like the rest of the Japan arrives and leaves on time 99% of the time. So plan your trip around Miyazaki very wisely and be aware of the time, lest you just miss a buss and have to wait another huge stretch of time to catch the next one.
  • “Demons washboard” This is a wonderful display of how nature shapes and prepares itself for us to witness, I rank this rock formation as interesting as Genbudo near Amano Hashidate. I believe that you could spend a good couple of hours enjoying the Onino Senkatuita, the Aoshima Shrine and Aoshima Island.
  • The devil's washboard as this geological formation is called, is an unusual remnant volcanic structure. Children can play all day long in the shallow waters of the island hunting for small "prey". Lovely tropical island, in fact the only worthy sightseeing spot along the entire east coast.
  • Awesome shrine, in an awesome location
