Aoshima Shrine, Miyazaki

(4.1/5 based on 340+ reviews on the web)
Soak up the reverential atmosphere and pleasant scenery at Aoshima Shrine, a Shinto shrine occupying an attractive spot in the jungle of the island's interior. Thought to have been enshrined in 820 CE, the shrine has become known for providing good fortune in marriage, with young couples arriving here to ask for luck in the years ahead. The shrine's buildings have been rebuilt numerous times over the years, though its bright and bold coloration today works particularly well with the surrounding jungle plant life. • Each year, visit the travel work. Was good, walking along the beach where small islets emerged, after the beach Stone Shrine. This process cleans very pleasant! Sacred path surrounded by, the livistona chinensis trees (Palm trees like tropical plants) followed by motomiya beside the shrine after praying in the environment to say what might be attractions. The mysterious atmosphere of the ancient word is just lovely. Fortune horoscopes have to motomiya heaven flat memory throw (throw called dish terracotta away at border depressions) fun! Come feel refreshed, happy new year, you want to pick up time. Hearts are washed!

  • Shrine surrounded by subtropical plants was a mysterious space. The worship at the shrine into a lane at the back of his right hand and back, motomiya. Where to throw a while hopefully round the tile at the rear of the motomiya. And Torii gate at the entrance of the island, within the entire island was. Cross the foot bridge on the island known as "demon's washing rock'. Far away from the island, overlooks the Giants camp, Seagaia.

Qingdao island is specified as a colony of tropical and subtropical plants, a special natural monument in the country. Also visit the famous wish year the Yomiuri Giants in Nippon professional baseball camp. All over the place decorated with giant photos.

  • Beautiful shrine. Good place for a trip with scenic view of the Pacific, good beach, can do surfing as well..
  • Quite unusual setting for a shrine, surrounded by palm trees in the middle of a sandy island. Great place for a date or family trip.
  • This is, without a doubt, one of the most magical and wonderful places in Japan. From the fresh pineapple you can buy from the vendors on the street, to the mango soft cream, to the lovely botanical gardens, the beach, and the island itself, you really cannot go wrong. Added bonus: it's amazing year 'round, but wear a hat and a muffler in the winter, because the winds are strong!
  • Beautiful small island linked by a bridge to Kyushu. The base of the island is a very unique layered and crooked rock formation called "devil's washboard". There is a very thin and long touristic beach on the shore of the Kyushu side. Nothing except trees sand and a shrine on aoshima island. It's a pure scenery place. Try to be there for the sunset.
  • Worth a visit
