Irabu-jima Island, Miyakojima

4.5
#2 of 13 in Nature in Miyakojima
Once isolated, today Irabu-jima Island exudes a laid-back, island lifestyle with quiet, paradisiacal beaches and unspoiled coral reefs. With hundreds of scuba diving spots, you'll have innumerable chances to explore the diverse underwater environments of the island, from shallow, boulder-laden sandy bays, to subaqueous limestone crevasses and caves--used as breeding grounds by a legion of colorful fish. The island's compact size makes exploring it rather easy: getting from one side to the other will take you about an hour and a half on foot. Alternatively, rent a bicycle from Miyako-jima, linked here by a handsome road bridge. • It is the rush to build a luxury villa. A Squire is irresistible because it wasn't worth much land is greatly keshichi it now. Conversely, Irabu town fallen into disuse, and felt that the winner is the loser.

  • Irabu arrived, through the Irabu bridge that opened two years ago. Irabu bridge length is 3. I can cross over from Miyako Island, now that 5 minutes is 5 km from the earlier travelled by boat. It was Island Island, Dadukou spectacular beach beach, Sawada outcroppings dotted with beaches and cliffs on fnausagivanata, place the face, it's different and attractive.

  • Sign Irabu bridge and in front of fnausagivanata 2 km away is nothing without the open entrance is about 1 m, fat people who maybe can't, from the entrance to 5-6 m long, and distracting tree, climb like pass there and arrived at the cliffs, Remain standing because no fence or see below, fear, fnausagivanata in the distance looks small, little coral reefs before the ship had run aground, the sea is clear and it is beautiful, I think maybe tourists who don't know people saw on TV but the wind shakes strongly camera as approaching Typhoon 22.

Where to stay in Miyakojima

Most of the accommodations in Miyakojima cluster around the main harbor. Here, a good number of high-rise hotels sit in the most densely populated areas, around plazas, shopping malls, and parks, while resorts take over a little farther around the coast in both directions, offering a range of facilities including pools, spas, and private beaches. You'll find simple guesthouses on all of the islands of modern Miyakojima city, with the greatest number on the main island, either on the urban side streets or close to the main beaches.
