One of the longest structures of its kind in the prefecture, Ikema Ohashi Bridge links Miyakojima with neighboring Ikema Island. Stretching 1.4 km (0.87 mi) over the blue Pacific, the two-lane bridge makes for an easy trip by car between the two islands. You can also walk or bike across the bridge to take in the sweeping ocean and coastal views at a slower pace. Keep in mind that during storms and extreme weather conditions the bridge may close for safety reasons.   • Ikema Island area is seen from the parking lot from the Miyako Islands Ikema island green good contrast with cobalt blue sea?

  • Nice drive. Not much else to say! We drove across this bridge a few times as we visited the different islands to explore. 
  • Colors of the sea seen from the Ikema Ohashi was a mysterious blue! Ikema Ohashi at the entrance and exit, both have parking spaces and toilets
