We visit the place today. 2 parents and 17 and 12 years old boys. We were very dissapointed. Huge lines. Waiting periods of 80 minutes. Old graphics. Expensive.  more »

Joypolis is theme parks such as big game Center in Tokyo teleport. I bought a ticket one day. Game's realism is strong, like a real roller coaster also. Everything is a little bit cold because the Cardigan and vest. It's the third floor? To think I see rainbow bridge Cafe. Wonderful WiFi.

This place was decent. Not bad but expected a lot more from it. It is mainly meant for younger teenagers. If you're over 21, I doubt you would have much fun here. The lines can be long and they make you read safety guidelines before you are able to go on them. It is also pretty dated now, and even was when I went here back in 2008.

Fun day and night. The rides and games are great for family or couples/individuals. The crew is fun and friendly.

Worst amusement park and day in japan for me. First of all I arrived there at 7, that is 3 hours of attractions. WRONG! I was only able to do 6 and 3 of them were without waiting. Not many people were there but the waiting always feels and is forever. Also in the left 4 dead attraction they just used 2 chambers and 1 one was free all the time. Furthermore if a ride can fit 6 people, they still only put 2 in them, cause this is a "group" One exampld: I was waiting at the "Unsearchable" which fit groups from 2-6 people. Side note: I went to the Park alone (traveler) NEVER go there alone. The guy said sry but this is not for one person, I said i knew but I can just join these people.- he called for an assistance, she said the Same thing as he did and i repeated myself. She called for a third person. While we waited i Asked the girls behind me if they had a Problem if I join them. They said no. The 3rd guy arrived and of course he also couldn't understand nor speak english. I calmly tried to explain that the girls are ok with that. The girls were OK with it- but the employers weren't ???!!! They apologized and i left. Next attraction was the VR doll house. It was 9:20 so still 40 mins until the Park closes. But only 2 groups were left to do it. I was disappointed and also angry cause I wasted so much time with the "Unsearchable" Ok took a ride without a queque and went to the resident evil. Stood in line, a worker closed it behind me. After a few Minutes she comes back and suddenly says :sry last two groups( 21:30) i left... I walked around and noticed this attraction is for 10 people but just 9 were standing. So I went into the line again. A different worker came said sorry but that is the last group. I said this is for 10 people and here are just 9, what is the matter? After a short discussion, of course he couldn't speak any english too, he agreed and said ok but special. I was glad but the attraction itself was boring... And that was my day there, nothing but wasted time, energy, money and nerves All in all -You need at least 6 hours do to half of the attractions ( long waiting times) -stuff can only speak japanese - really stupid rules - Expensive -just a few interesting attractions I would never go there again and also not recommend it!!

I went for the Virtual Reality experience with Zero Latency, which was amazing fun and definitely the future. We were six players in the room having a stand-off with zombies. It was 1800yen for 30 minutes but so worth it! Joypolis entrance was 500yen for foreigners (I would probably get the unlimited rides pass if you can afford it)

Where to stay in Tokyo

Tokyo abounds with excellent places to stay, from luxury affairs to humble budget-friendly lodgings. Its glittering skyscrapers house numerous international four- and five-star hotels, both in the populous cultural hotspots of Shinjuku and in the business centers of Akasaka and Shinbashi. Meanwhile, hostels catering to the shoestring traveler lie scattered throughout the city. For a memorable, distinctly Japanese experience, seek out a ryokan, a traditional bed and breakfast with tatami floor mats and sliding screen doors.
