Joypolis is easily accessible via the Japanese rails. If you visit after 6.30 in the evening, there is a significant discount. Bring your passport, apparently there is further discount for tourist. Ho... read more »
For those who love arcade games this place is perfect for you. This is not a theme park. It is an indoor attraction. What I don't like is you'll have to wait in a long queue for a 5 mins attraction. T... read more »
Easy to get to via monorail from central Tokyo. Plenty of action for arcade fans. But rather disappointing for anyone who has been led to feel that this is a "theme park". This is a three storey wareh... read more »
COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!!! Save your money. If you buy the absurd $40 passport ticket, then you can look forward to spending hours waiting on Line for attractions that you wouldn't even give a second glance at if you were at an amusement park. And if you buy the ¥800 ticket, which includes f@ck all beyond admission, you can wander around among a seething throng of teenagers. It markets itself as this arcade on steroids but there are hardly any arcade games to play. NOT WORTH IT.
It's a pretty crazy experience, I probably would have given it more stars if I didn't have a hangover when I went there! But I'm quite sure it can get really busy on weekends, so, be prepared to wait for the rides / games on holidays.
Lots of fun! Won't run out of things to do :)
So so arcade with typical games machines and overpriced food stalls.
For younger couples that enjoy crepes, above average interactive videogames and various video-game related rides, Joypolis can be a pretty fun date spot. Spend the money and get an all-ride pass at the entrance, as it doesn't take long to get your money's worth. Also, go EARLY so as to avoid what can become fairly long rides for the more popular attractions. Not my favorite date spot, but still a fun place to go with someone you like. Conveniently located in an area with a good view of the rainbow bridge(preferably seen at night).
