  • Well run by the staff and an amazing free view of Tokyo from 45 floors up. There was ample viewing windows and a coffee and souvenir shop there
  • Came here during the evening, which provided a surreal experience. The city is beautiful and the view from this location is spectacular. A bit to touristy for my liking, but absolutely breath taking! Would recommend!
  • Astonishing outside view platform on top of the Ropongi Hills Tower. It is quite expensive, but definitely worth it for the view. You have to buy a ticket for 1800¥ to get to the observation floor. Once you up there you definitely should buy an additional ticket for 500¥ to get to the outside rooftop. Only the outside rooftop is worth going up the tower.
  • I've been to quite a number of observation decks in Japan, most of them with glass walls, it would be a problem if you want to take professional photos. I've reviewed "Shin-Umeda City" previously, also an observation deck with "open top" for tourists, and so I also recommend the Roppongihills as this one also has an excellent view (maybe closed during bad weather conditions), I highly recommend visitors to go there to enjoy the night view (better go before sunset). Note that the use of tripod is not allowed at the open top section.
  • Amazing to be on the roof of a building 50 floors up. Probably the only place you can get the outdoor experience so high up. Closed in bad weather. Also interesting to compare the different views you get from different sky decks in Tokyo. Shinjuku is free so this is a little pricey but you can combine with one of the exhibitions. Modern feel and interesting.
  • Effin cool. Go visit in the morning before the hoards of tourists.
