  • It is located in Akasaka, Suntory Museum of Art Museum. If you are interested in visiting the works of art featured look. Japan is South Korea as far as further interest for the arts compared to the small museum also exhibits the work of pricey, often a stone's throw!

  • Roppongi art triangle, one National Art Center, Tokyo, Mori Art Museum, as well as planning for the exhibition of Museum facilities are small. To Tokyo and largely exhibition of Western art is often so far visited here, but not the first. Invited motonobu exhibition planning. A result was the exhibition. Kano school was established during the Edo period, was a continuing major workshop and factory built, and formed the painting technique, and well understood. Suntory Museum of art itself is relatively small, on the third floor of the commercial facilities that are modern things. Easy to use guide, toilets and locker is good.

  • If you dare to come here to see the Museum, but (the other seemed to be more than a good Museum) was a good place to stop for a second shopping.

  • One of my favorite museums in Tokyo, beautifully designed galleries and just the right size. Some exhibitions focus on crafts like glass or porcelain that I'm not so interested in, but it's also put on revelatory exhibitions of relatively obscure but important artists or on interesting themes. The biggest plus for visitors is that there is always an English (and maybe Chinese?) audio guide available, which is worth it if you really want to know more about what you're seeing. Unfortunately, not all major museums in Tokyo make the same effort. On the same floor of the shopping mall are a number of stores selling Japanese crafts and products, so can get some eclectic souvenirs as well.
  • As the last reviewer stated, it does depend on the exhibit you get to see as none are permanent. The one we saw was fun and our kids loved the artist's colorful eclectic style. Overall, it's a museum; you've seen one, you've seen them all.
  • No permanent collection so reviews will be highly dependent on what they're showing. When I visited it was ¥1300, for a decent sized and well presented exhibit of Akita Ranga style paintings.
  • Very good! Fantastic!
  • Wouaw !

Where to stay in Tokyo

Tokyo abounds with excellent places to stay, from luxury affairs to humble budget-friendly lodgings. Its glittering skyscrapers house numerous international four- and five-star hotels, both in the populous cultural hotspots of Shinjuku and in the business centers of Akasaka and Shinbashi. Meanwhile, hostels catering to the shoestring traveler lie scattered throughout the city. For a memorable, distinctly Japanese experience, seek out a ryokan, a traditional bed and breakfast with tatami floor mats and sliding screen doors.
