Shiba Park, Minato

Categories: Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
4/5 based on 170+ reviews on the web
Visit the country first public park at Shiba Park, established in 1873. Sections of the grounds date back to the Edo period, and a 14th-century temple lies nearby. Wander the pathways around the compact park, take in the temple (used famously in the film "Wolverine"), and visit the ravine with its 20 m (66 ft) zelkova tree. Enjoy scenic views of the Tokyo tower, and consider bringing along a picnic to savor on one of the manicured lawns. • If you want to get romantic, come here at night with your love one, enjoy the view of tokyo tower as it shines bright like a diamond. The park is smaller than others, but there are few people who stay here so you can actually have quality time with your love one and the much needed privacy.
  • Great view of both Tokyo Tower and Zojyo-ji. Not a lot of benches but plenty of green space to have a picnic. Weekends can get pretty crowded during the summer.
  • Reasonably well maintained park with lots of areas to walk around, stepping stones and mini waterfall to enjoy a stroll before heading to the shrine or Tokyo tower.
  • Great view of a temple and the Tokyo Tower by day or night. #photoop
  • I love the park. There is also children playground.
