  • I was specifically looking for the Japanese woodcraft from Hakone. This was the only place I could find it. I didn't have time to actually travel to Hakone (the selection there is MUCH better) but I f...  more »
  • Had something close, so I stopped. Overseas customers should go, of course, Japan living people. This is where you can see the goodness of the traditional crafts of Japan. Ofgreat beauty can't be expressed in term of the skills have been passed down. Lined with goods by name during that younger generations are often. Exhibitions especially in the force uniform, is to feel the strength of the arts of Japan. You can demonstrate or experience, as his experience of technology to more fully understand. • The Aoyama square craft shop has an excellent sampling of local crafts from all over Japan, ranging from laquerware to wooden inset boxes, pottery and beaten metal. There is also a modest collection of textiles and prints. The prices are a little on the higher side, but you will definitely find some good traditional craftsmanship here.
  • Something of a cross between a museum and a department store, the center displays a permanent collection with hundreds of items on offer. To be included here, items must be made mostly by hand; they must embody traditional techniques (dating back at least 100 years) and be made from traditional materials; and they should be used in the course of every day life. The Traditional Craft Center in Aoyama offers handy one-stop shopping for a range of Japanese crafts. It's all here and it's all for sale - from pottery, lacquerware and carving knives for your every day needs to more esoteric washi (paper products), calligraphy brushes, and lacquered deerhide.
  • There are many lovely things, and always wonder what events and fun. It boasts a café for a break, so no Cafe around, and seen more slowly.

  • I think around the traditional crafts can be purchased so the concept is very good. However the clerk chatting more, big voice, that is quite negative.

  • You can see traditional crafts of Japan around slowly, you can also purchase. Fun just to walk around, I can get a feel and a brief description of each craft. Receive tell shop is positioned and more staff to feel free to ask questions, I think.
