#9 of 254 in Parks in Tokyo
Favored as a wedding venue, Happoen Garden features lush tree species and colorful flowers. Stroll through the garden grounds to admire its carefully-manicured assortment of cherry trees, azaleas, waterfalls, and more, laid out over the foundation of a historic residential complex. Don't miss the garden's bonsai collection, including a pine tree that's over 500 years old. Afterwards, stop by the garden's teahouse to indulge in some treats and refreshments. • Happo-en from the station near the location. Happo-en is truly comfortable. Garden is the hotel was elegant. And done several weddings, it was crowded.

  • Very good condition and a great atmosphere. With wedding season, were taking photos of the bride and groom. And Hato bus, but many foreign tourists. In Tokyo, though quite large, I was surprised. I could enjoy a wonderful scenery around the pond and bonsai exhibitions.

  • Regardless of this, the wedding ceremony at the place welcomes the many times & was impressive and memorable life experience what are we attend receptions, but nice none the. Especially reception dish dish dish is glamorous, impact and is very tasty. And no meeting time had been invited to watch the weekend a pair is at the same time and held receptions when fine, lost at the venue. That'll do. It is in any case, both Japanese and Western style, great.

  • OOOH OK, so it's a wedding/event venue as well as a garden! hehe anyways it was nice to accidentally enter the reception area.
  • Beautiful gardens with lots of features and amazing koi in the lake.
  • Head done to the pond and stamp your feet on the rocks to attract the huge coy fish.
  • One of our favorites featuring bonsai that are hundreds of years-old, koi pond - beautiful, peaceful garden.
  • A superb garden with some very old bonsai and a fish pound.

Where to stay in Tokyo

Tokyo abounds with excellent places to stay, from luxury affairs to humble budget-friendly lodgings. Its glittering skyscrapers house numerous international four- and five-star hotels, both in the populous cultural hotspots of Shinjuku and in the business centers of Akasaka and Shinbashi. Meanwhile, hostels catering to the shoestring traveler lie scattered throughout the city. For a memorable, distinctly Japanese experience, seek out a ryokan, a traditional bed and breakfast with tatami floor mats and sliding screen doors.
