Daiba Park, Minato
(4.1/5 based on 300+ reviews on the web)
A tiny man-made canon fort island designed to protect Tokyo against US gunboats, Daiba Park offers panoramic views of the city’s skyline, with Rainbow Bridge, Fuji TV tower, Decks Tokyo Beach, and nearby Odaiba Park’s Statue of Liberty visible. Remains of canons, an old artillery battery, and that of a boat launch stand on the island, surrounded by maple, zelkova, and pine trees. Spanning 29,963 sq m (322,519 sq ft), the island opened as a park in 1928 and was connected to the mainland by a landfill. The park sits 12 minutes by foot from either Odaiba-Kaihin-Koen or Tokyo Teleport stations. • If you go to Odaiba Bay be sure to visit the super robot Gundam 18 meters high, made several shows throughout the day, but I recommend seeing it at night because it turns on and moves his head, spectacular., recommend it.

  • Dusk felt good walking in the sand, just in time for the evening's hardness went pretty good. Coming to the point where I would like to ask from the entrance of the monorail Odaiba-wook had got off at the entrance to the walk it is connected.

  • If you like Gundam this is worth to check out and have a feel on how Gundam's size will be if they really build one for combat. There is also a show around 7pm in the evening, the only down side is that only the Gundam's head will move the rest is stagnant. Some light shows and steam here and there. That's about it.
  • Beautiful square shaped park with wonderful views of the bay and the Rainbow bridge. Usually not crowded so very nice to take a relaxing walk around it. At night is not very well lit.
  • The old fortified island. It's a nice place for a picnic or view gazing. Asides that there isn't much to do. The maintenance could be better.
  • Nice place to hang out and to enjoy a nice view on the Tokyo skyline and the Rainbow bridge.
  • I got lost and i came across this place. The people seemed nice there.
