We stayed at the Hilton nearby and this was our 2nd visit to Odaiba - we were last there 3 years ago. We love this place! So many good shops and places to eat and nice just to walk around and browse. ...  more »

We arrived to Odaiba to Asakusa by ferry Hotaluna which departs from the pier on the sumida River, it takes about 50 minutes and the ferry is very nice. Odaiba is an artificial island where there are lots of malls so if you want to spend an afternoon shopping is ideal.

It has great view, especially at night, and there are tracks outside you can go through to see the great view up close. But the mall is currently being renovated here and there, making it kinda hard to explore. Especially to get to the restaurants.

Nice place, nice location, good for touris, many shopkeeper speak English. You get free parking if you have purchased a certain amount. It's very rare in Japan that you can find rude shopkeepers, they are in a shop called biccamera.

Similar to other malls in odaiba. Situated along the water. Nice restaurants in the mall. Quite crowded especially on the weekends.

This is one interesting place to visit before leaving Japan. By using the ferry you can explore the Tokyo bay ... if you love taking pictures of Tokyo you'll enjoy this trip ...

The view is great from all the sides and the shopping complex is nice too! Too many branded shops and they also have a food court in the ground floor. The only con is that it is ALMOST ALWAYS crowded.

Where to stay in Tokyo

Tokyo abounds with excellent places to stay, from luxury affairs to humble budget-friendly lodgings. Its glittering skyscrapers house numerous international four- and five-star hotels, both in the populous cultural hotspots of Shinjuku and in the business centers of Akasaka and Shinbashi. Meanwhile, hostels catering to the shoestring traveler lie scattered throughout the city. For a memorable, distinctly Japanese experience, seek out a ryokan, a traditional bed and breakfast with tatami floor mats and sliding screen doors.
