  • I wasn't sure what to expect upon visiting, but the tour is quite interesting. The palace itself is quite extravagant without being tacky. It's a State building, so there is security screening with me...  more »
  • I was just passing this impressive building on my way back to my hotel. I hope next time I will more time to check out inside as well.  more »
  • It seems European palace. But you can find Japanese motifs on its details. You can visit there not only you apply via internet more than 1 month before but also you can purchase at the front gate.  more »

  • Possible to see only from the outside and small piece of the gardens. Nice place if you are walking around but not an absolute must-go. The western-style architecture is quite interesting though. Reminded me of a small Buckingham.
  • Magnificent architecture. Almost as grandiose as Buckingham palace. It's open to public certain times of the year (information is on the website). Although the admission fee is a bit expensive (1,000 yen), worth checking out.
  • Nice place to visit when the grounds are opened to the public (happens a few times a year).
  • The main building opens for public today. We can visit inside the building, main garden and front garden. Today we visited Kacho No Ma Hall and Hagoromo No Ma Hall. Photo taking is not allowed inside the building.
  • The impressing point is 彩鸞の間 which is such a perfect mixture of beauty and power.
