One of many museums in Roppongi. This one is quite small, hence pretty expensive, and seems to largely feed the interest of Tadao Ando and Issey Miyake.
I absolutely love this place. Beautiful architecture and environment. It inspired me in my design work. The build was created to juxtapose the towering skyscrapers of Tokyo and it certainly does that. It is a low building with most of the galleries underground (there is still natural light though). The many exhibitions I have been to have not failed to be immersing and interesting. Even to admire the surrounding area which is beautifully laid with trees and water installments, it is well worth a visit especially if you plan to wander through Roppongi area.
One of my favorite museums in Tokyo. The exhibits are not too large but they change pretty often and are great for a casual visit.
Fanatastic venue very small and tight so make sure to go to a exhibition you like but as an architect student i came for the building great to see in summer as the lighting on the amazing concrete is fantastic will go there again during winter
