Where to stay in Minakami-machi

Depending on the time of year, you may head straight to Minakami-machi's snowy slopes, staying in one of several well-equipped ski resorts; if it's the warmer seasons that have prompted your visit, you'll still have plenty of choices. Proud of its traditional Japanese culture, Minakami-machi boasts lots of Edo-period ryokans set in secluded tranquility, with no one to be seen for miles. A Minakami-machi trip wouldn't be complete without a visit to the onsens, so consider staying in one of several resorts that put them right at your doorstep.

  • Still the snow skiing is possible. Snow is gooey. It is a breathtaking view. I couldn't play outside louver in ordinary shoes because for a long time. I would have enjoyed more if you prepare.
