Dogo Onsengai, Matsuyama

(3.9/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web)
Dip into one of the oldest hot springs in Japan at Dogo Onsengai. The proud, 1000-year history of the onsen attracts visitors from far and wide to bathe in its steamy waters, which causes the springs to get very crowded during peak times. You’ll be provided with soap and shampoo during your stay, along with bathrooms equipped with modern plumbing fixtures. You can also take a tour of the current building, which is over 100 years old. • The city itself, is fairly compact. It is smoking in some places, but otherwise non-smoking town, so kid friendly. Near about 30 minutes from the airport, and also, some foreign tourists.

  • From the train station to the hotel was lively and fun seemed a short road between the town and the city's. Go away was amazing, to see a clock, the souvenir, the real Botchan dango shop at the airport, not here.
