  • Castle was a large refurbishment, you could see the imposing figure of stone and tile. Interior of the main hall is impressed in many attractions as luxurious fusuma Golden and beautifully crafted. Sando, 1000 books were cedar trees are being cut down due to earthquake damage 700 books were sad, but renovation was underway.

  • Because the Sendai port, cruise destinations, visited Matsushima. But the day was rainy and very cold days. Keep up the 80-year-old mother, but managed to reach the temple. Do not (not devious because 11/16 currently are under construction along the entrance path) clothes are wet with the rain cold likely draw. Do not take off your shoes to see the treasures of the temple and thinks. It is roughly in Kyoto and other temple so as no resistance, take off your shoes, is drenched. Heard Guard's shoes to be stripped in Office somehow different in only the elderly mother, "is a national treasure!" with answer. I was surprised in the cold too much. The guard is a Word while taking off the shoes on what new towels. Because after I go home without seeing another family about 3000 Yen paid and then came the rain. And encourage each other in the family while they visited, but the guard far were stared at here. I would place the humanity worth it but that is not from a "national treasure," "national treasure because" people. If I say "in the cold in the rain I'm sorry but please take your here" you fail me even towels and we also feel better I was disappointed to see. Temple here was selling tickets at the entrance too very dark, so all this is the songdo? And was disappointed. Entsu-ji Temple next to the staff were very pleasant, but was somehow bounces back to the ship. However, this temple was personally not recommended. Either way, rain, cold, (no drafty in slippers since the tour) is better stop and think.

  • Approach to the main hall is currently under construction, but road along the quay, while observing the old cave Buddha can go to the main building. Good's treasure in the temple, (charges are applicable) and entering the tour out of something is. The temple completes the repairs. Next to pie.

  • Beautiful temple atop a hill! en route you will pass by a cemetery. The tombstones are in immaculate condition! The temple is in great condition, obviously great care has been taken in maintaining it. the view towards the Bay is fantastic from this high up.
  • Under heavy renovation as of Oct 16. The buildings are impressive, but I prefer the gardens next door.
  • Great place for a stroll among historic monuments.
  • Currently mostly under renovation. The lacquer shrine is very pretty, and the onsite museum has an imposing samurai statue.
  • Autumn leaves lighted up. Great satisfaction to a mysterious light. Inspiring world of fall foliage, especially reflected in the pond. My wife was satisfied by its beauty.
