The impressive wooden architecture of Yohashira Shrine provides shelter to numerous worshippers and tourists on the way to Matsumoto Castle. This small, well-kept Shinto shrine, surrounded by the main shopping area in town, offers access via a picturesque stone bridge and features numerous strange stone sculptures, such as sword-wielding warrior frog deities and guardian lions keeping watch over the area.   • A very quiet and beautiful place in the heart of the city. When we visited there was some sort of ceremony taking place so we stayed back. I believe it was a wedding because a photographer was set up ...  more »

  • It was a shrine River flows in front of the shrine and very pleasant. In front of nawate, 5-minute walk from Matsumoto Castle and within walking distance to good.

  • 4 pillars of structured Mikami and Amaterasu from it through? It is a pretty spectacular member. This is the shrine itself is compact and streamlined appearance.
