Where to stay in Matsue

With its canals, rivers, and lakes central to the look and everyday life of Matsue, many visitors arrive wanting a view of the water. And they're certainly in luck, because the city has placed its primary accommodations up close to the waterways. Traditional "ryokan" (guesthouses) with "onsen" (traditional Japanese spas) sit to the north of the river, while a good number of basic hotels lie to the south. Look around the countryside to the south for clusters of retreats in scenic areas, including traditional ryokan and modern hotels with onsite onsen.

  • In 來間 trips around Lake Shinji, and further afield to the Adachi Museum of art plans across this bridge. There is now for the first time, this river was facing Lake Shinji and the Japan Sea. In other words it's Shinji Lake is a freshwater lake, not Lake Hamana to contains both River and sea water. Did you know that it's from across this bridge.

  • It is a bridge to the exit of Lake Shinji. Driveway on one side has two lanes and sidewalks. Berti, walk over, but the wind nicely. Over the time of sunset.

  • The Shinjiko Ohashi bridge is as the name suggests, a bridge over the Ohashi at the end of the Shinji Lake River. Unfortunately, I can't say Wiso that bridge as a tourist attraction is listed, since I'm no architect. Your purpose, get dry from one bank to the other, we have used you 2 x during our visit in Matsue, we would do it again.
