Where to stay in Matsue

With its canals, rivers, and lakes central to the look and everyday life of Matsue, many visitors arrive wanting a view of the water. And they're certainly in luck, because the city has placed its primary accommodations up close to the waterways. Traditional "ryokan" (guesthouses) with "onsen" (traditional Japanese spas) sit to the north of the river, while a good number of basic hotels lie to the south. Look around the countryside to the south for clusters of retreats in scenic areas, including traditional ryokan and modern hotels with onsite onsen.

  • Matsue Castle, Matsue Castle as Matsue shrine, is a park in the area hit the old kameda mountains Nikko clouds Pavilion "and" Matsue gokoku shrine, shiroyama Inari Shrine, etc.. Generally this "Park" to enter the Park it and charge admission to get into climbing the tower is free of charge. To take shape what was destined to be sold along with the other buildings became a deserted Castle in the original original Akira Osamu restoration abolished the waste Castle decree had been promulgated under the jurisdiction of the Department of the army through to buy Castle by a local strongman who will be saved. This will be open to the public as a park being donated to Matsue, the castle with the Castle from the owner of the Matsudaira. Matsue Castle is designated as historic site and national historic treasure, while 0/2013 (2015), are designated national treasures, but the Castle becoming necessary admission, but Park citizens are of course as a place of relaxation for tourists free of charge open to the public, and continues to this day. Has become a great place to enjoy from various angles Matsue Castle is a Castle Park. I think wind and therefore, always crowded with people. It might seem alive thoughts of age of anticipation that is designated as a national treasure, and maintenance costs, will be paid to attempt to save it. People go to the Tower in relation to time and cost, but to treasure the Castle "Park you can see first-hand" that I get done doing the role.
