  • It is the classic stops on his way into the inner keep of Matsue Castle. End renovation two years ago, are open to public. It is a nostalgic atmosphere.

  • Songjiang water lantern road at night was in the opening entry. Was made as a State Guest House is a feeling that followed Nikko cloud Islands is primarily see the lantern from the balcony of the second floor, so it is good taste. Not in the tea room.

  • Down the castle with her Western-style buildings. Decided to make a short stop in "Hing clouds Pavilion" is the name of the Western. Admission can get anyone free of charge. Remember the Museum of moegi, speaking of her Western-style building located in Kobe. Western is the Shimane Prefecture is one of the few "moegi no yakata" was the former American Consulate was built during the Meiji period, but XING cloud Pavilion here also completed 0/1903 in history. Matsue historical descriptions and pictures were exhibited on the ground floor. Also built for use in the way of the Meiji Emperor in suitcases, 0/1969 listed in the Shimane Prefecture designated tangible cultural property. I liked the stairs going up to the second floor. Interior is clean because saving repair work was carried out. Hall is on the second floor, is can be reserved for private use at an additional charge. There are rooms known as revealing your room in the back. What are reminder of Meiji era combination of tatami room with curtains. The building made me think about what such a history is a Western in Shimane Prefecture.

Where to stay in Matsue

With its canals, rivers, and lakes central to the look and everyday life of Matsue, many visitors arrive wanting a view of the water. And they're certainly in luck, because the city has placed its primary accommodations up close to the waterways. Traditional "ryokan" (guesthouses) with "onsen" (traditional Japanese spas) sit to the north of the river, while a good number of basic hotels lie to the south. Look around the countryside to the south for clusters of retreats in scenic areas, including traditional ryokan and modern hotels with onsite onsen.
