An original Japanese addition to Tokyo Disneyland, Tokyo DisneySea features nautically themed attractions, rides, and shows inspired by myths of the sea. The park contains seven different areas: Mermaid Lagoon, American Waterfront, Lost River Delta, Port Discovery, Arabian Coast, Mediterranean Harbor, and Mysterious Island. Check out the Venetian gondolas, an underwater world out of the imagination of the science fiction writer Jules Verne, and the S.S. Columbia steamship. Unlike its neighboring Disneyland, this park contains higher quality dining options where guests can order alcoholic beverages. Tokyo DisneySea reviews
Didn’t get to ride most of the rides because of the queue or slots already filled. But we still enjoyed the stroll, with all the picturesque architecture. My favourite area is the Agrabah... more »
I've only been to the parks in the US, but the people stating this is the BEST Disney park in the entire world, are not wrong. If you're a ride junky, short line person, or staunch american food... more »
If you can only go to one park between Disneysea and Tokyo Disneyland - I highly recommend Disneysea. Look, you've already been to Disneyland in the states. So why experience the same thing again... more »
I'm a big fan of Disney parks in the US, so it was fun to see a Tokyo's take on Disney. Disney Sea is unique and worth a visit if you want to see something new from Disney. The rides are all in Japanese (which is expected) and they don't do any pin trading in these parks. They don't really even sell Disney pins! They are huge into the Duffy character in Tokyo, which is a teddy bear. Overall a fun and interesting experience, but would not recommend going when it's so cold because I'm sure it's a much more enjoyable park when it's warmer.
We are big Disney fans and this is the most beautiful Disney Park we have visited. The line ups were long and it was windy so we dressed for the weather. Everything is really well organized. The staff are welcoming and kind. The food is really good too. The characters are the sweetest and so interactive. We had a great time.
Disney parks are always fun, but they really went all the way with Disney Sea. Especially for Christmastime. Great shows, good rides. Fast pass worked very well. (This is more like flow control; it is free.) Good Italian restaurant by the canal. And excellent caramel popcorn at the stand!
Absolutely Awesome! Definitely a place to visit if you love rides and theme parks already! While not as "cute" as Disneyland, it is just as magical. Lots of interesting things to see and do, and plenty of exciting rides. As with all theme parks, prepare for lots of walking, and queuing. I recommend making use of the "Fast Pass" system if you are there on a busy day for the more popular rides. But do go on a weekday if you can. Then there will be less crowds and shorter queues. Food, drinks, and snacks are a little expensive, but not more than expected for a theme park. There is different merchandise to Disneyland, but also a fair overlap. Plenty to spend money on if that's your thing. Also lots of cookies/sweets that make great gifts - all sealed so suitable for travel and customs to most places.
Glad to have had the opportunity to visit such a magical place! The entrance fee of 7,500 yen was a little more than I expected, but once inside, merchandise and foods were regular considered with those found around Tokyo. The attractions, art, and buildings were simply breathtaking. They were so creative and really immersed you in the Disney culture. Definitely a place to take your family or a date to!
