Mount Ibuki is a 1377m mountain, on the border of Maibara, Shiga Prefecture, and Ibigawa, Gifu Prefecture, Japan. It is one of the 100 Famous Japanese Mountains, and is also included on the lists of the 100 Kinki Mountains the 50 Shiga Mountains. Mount Ibuki is the highest mountain in Shiga Prefecture.OutlineMount Ibuki is the highest peak in the Ibuki Mountains, which stretch from north to south along the border of Shiga Prefecture and Gifu Prefecture. Located at the southern end of the mountain chain with the Suzuka Mountains not to far to the south, a small plain at the foot of this mountain, Sekigahara, became one of the most important strategic points throughout Japanese history.NatureMount Ibuki is well known for receiving the world's heaviest snowfall in recorded history. On February 14, 1927, the depth of snow at the top of the peak was 11.82m according to government records, which is a world record.   • Fog-prone as it is, comes to the top several times, but the weather is changeable.   • 1377 m above sea level. I think as seasons go by car to drive small squares near the Summit, however, I climb from the trailhead 1合目, and go to the top. Also by the way so is the mountain where the bears could at any time. Bell and radio while climbing, however, I saw a bear here, so that we recommend. From 1合目 to two overs, with two eyes see EH? Still 2 with eyes? "And lamented. Even while enjoying the view at then it is always pleasant to walk so far good luck! At the top I bought cup noodles. Good....
