Inspirock Rating:
4.6/5 based on 120+ reviews on the web
Quiet and peaceful despite its city-center location, Shosei-en Garden provides a photogenic oasis of tranquility featuring an attractive lake, trees, and flowers. Dating back to the 9th century, but with its present layout designed in 1641, the garden's meandering paths take you to a number former tea houses set in different areas. The well-kept garden features a pond brimming with carp and green turtles, while blue herons nest in tree branches overhead. Not far from the Buddhist Higashi Honganji Temple to which it belongs, the garden sits only 10 minutes by foot from Kyoto's central train station. • Walk from Kyoto station but I was getting care from the previous 7-8 minutes too much too close and I had on the back burner [shosei-en]. It is visited for the first time, amazed. Bridge pond plays with waterfowl, like Nakajima, was indeed a nice wooden roof, or there is tea. Fewer tourists, had the time really quiet for a while in the beautiful garden. But as an aside I noticed three things. One of the Netherlands met three more tourists and people of Denmark, Canada and Europe. (I already visited three times, but few tourists both Europe and America people...). Well I had, so find the lovely garden. Second is close to Kyoto station, Kyoto Tower is visible from the trees on the other side of the pond overgrown is a strange sight. The third one is B5 size surprisingly respectable beautiful photo guide. I'm sorry not one coin will pay fees.

  • It is located in enclaves of the Higashi hongan-ji Temple garden. Varied and unusual elegant buildings and devise elaborate wooden arched bridge. Ye 1周 was not so easy. Pond is relatively large. Will clean at that time of year when I went during this season was not so, and I imagine. It is a garden where you can feel free to enjoy.
