Shiramine Shrine is a Shinto Shrine in Kamigyō-ku, KyotoThe Shrine is dedicated to the veneration of the kami of Emperor Junnin and Emperor Sutoku. Annually in mid–September two Noh performances are held at the Shiramine Shrine in memory of Emperor Sutoku.Shiramine is also home to the deity Seidai Myojin who is popularly known as the god of sports, and especially soccer.The lucky charm(叶う輪 Kanauwa) of Shiramine Shrine is very popular to worshipers.Kanauwa is Lucky charm of sports.Kanpei-shaIn 1871, the Kanpei-sha identified the hierarchy of government-supported shrines most closely associated with the Imperial family.   • Enshrines the Meiji Emperor tacashitoc Emperor and Jun Jin emperor, the temple was built. For kemari Soke, asukai's townhouse was kemari is enshrined. Hori went east from the River River now out, the town lively, eh! In such a place and feel like it is. The dedication of the many ball games to League from being the head of the kemari ball. Shiramine shrine kemari preservation society by every April 14th and 7/7 dedication kemari occurs.

  • I am a futsal player I injured last year.There is a god of sports in this shrine. If you want to cure injury, I recommend it  more »

  • Beaitiful little Shrine in the middle of modern buildings, the white little stones in the floor looks like a Zen garden and you can find a special place with signed sports balls.
  • They display soccer balls and other sports untensils. I never came across a shrine like this before. A nice experience I made by chance. :)

  • Is deeply involved in kemari shrine, but now is generally worshipped ball games, sports and said, as are many athletes shrine. So when you borrow. you wash your hands clean, and many kinds of protection, such as in the Office I said memories kemari monument, 1 turn the ball there and the temple is always talking to the Office! Writen and it was. Is anyone working here at sports courtesy tough image. Environment maps can be purchased at 100 yen
