  • Lovely spot to walk through and just look around. Very scenic and beautiful. The bridge over the pond is the highlight, and there are little shrine areas too.  more »

  • Pretty little garden and temple, free to visit. Might as well if you are nearby, but don't detour here on purpose.
  • Small, but calm and relaxing. If you stand in the middle of the bridge and look down into the koi fish pond, you'll notice them swarming around waiting to be fed.
  • Small but nice. A break from the very busy and somewhat dusty castle nearby. A carp food vending machine is here and you can fee the carp from the waters edge or from the bridge. There was also a very friendly duck getting about.
  • A cute cafe that sold the brunch my group needed to keep having fun. The egg and rice omelet was reasonably priced, standing at 700 yen a dish. This cafe is next to Nijo castle so stop by and grab a bite before visiting.
  • Superb! If you are near Nijo castle you also have to see this.
