  • Exactly what is the Kyoto! The landscape that can be seen. You can enjoy just walking around in the old town is very good. I think Hill so high-heels or heel shoes are tough.

  • It is connected to Kiyomizu Temple from the hill toward surface and slope. Cobblestones are like Kyoto atmosphere. Souvenir shop, just have fun. Fall down and die within three years, that is famous for.

  • A lot of people, a little bit less flavor. From the water temple after the turn of the system, the kimono mm cloud set, the two sides of the shop door is not big but are very distinctive, and good luck also met the art prostitute, but in fact, too many people, no way leisurely.

  • Walking down the street is a nice way to understand what old Kyoto looked like, the path is filled with old buildings and shops. Many of the shops are just for tourists, with little authentic old style shops, but the walk up the path allows to reach a beautiful temple and shrine. It gets less crowded after 5pm, while before it is full of people walking up and down. Reccomended to have a look at the buildings and do some shopping while in Kyoto. You can walk the entire path in 20 minutes and then visit the temples. Take the time to look over Kyoto once you reach the top of the hill for a great view of the city which is hard to get anywhere else.
  • A great place to walk around after visiting the temple. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Lots of lovely Kyoto pottery and ceramics to look at and buy.
  • A beautiful tiny street. When you think of traditional Japanese architecture this is probably what you think about. There are many food stalls and tea houses around with typical Japanese products. Definitely a must visit when you are in the Kyoto area!
  • So. Much. Walking. Although a beautiful street, there isn't much here except a million tourists who cannot walk fast in their kimono. I don't find the shops too interesting, just a lot of green tea/matcha and Japanese mochi. Some gift shops.
  • Should definitely check the place out. Even though it's mostly for tourists, the place still gives a sense of the olden days. Happened to snow a bit as well when we're there so that was lovely.
