  • Ohara bus station, 10 minute walk to jakko's Gate, 3000 hospital as was the ideal accommodation near the 大原女 road to follow. While living in the country of Japan, foreign tourists were experienced. It is good to foreign customers a bit more kindly, I'll initiate help self bed kneeling, bathing, meal.

  • A bit of a walk (about 15 minutes) from the Ohara bus station, but worth it for the views alone. The inn is fantastic as well with very friendly and helpful staff. English-only friendly as well.
  • The rooms are great Baths are great and the food is very tasty and neat They have pickup service They have a convenient service where when checking out, you can send your baggage to Kyoto station and sight-see the city without your baggage, and claim them at 5pm, but you have to tell them you want the service beforehand..
  • Wonderful food, beautiful atmosphere, and absolutely peaceful place to stay. Only one down side was the shared bathroom but that didn't take away from out experience at all. I suggest walking to the Kirin Riverside Cafe right down the road while you are there!
  • Great deal for what you get. The location is about an hour outside of Kyoto but the bus ride there was good as you get to see the locale as you go by. Finding the bus was a bit difficult, it's the number 17 bus (not the green city buses) and you can get it at Kyoto Station. The staff at Ohara was very good to us. We went during a slow time so we got to use the onsens without anyone there, a plus. Overall highly recomended and would love to go again.
  • Excellent hospitality by the staffs. Great food provided. Cozy traditional rooms. Toilets could use a bit of freshening up. The on-sen is nice, but space is limited
