  • About an hour bus ride from Kyoto Station, This inn is exactly what we were looking for. The room are amazing and we all wore our yukatas. The dinner served was a wonderful experience. There was so mu...  read more »
  • Kyoto countryside day took a long walk. Guests can enjoy a line often pickled and Kyoto souvenir shops near the 3000 hospital, a little shopping. For using the famous red shiso ice cream is delicious. 3000 hospital admission after Ohara bus will return to the opposite direction. Walking through the landscape of the rural countryside to Ohara sansou. Good country cooking with hot springs.

  • Wonderful food, beautiful atmosphere, and absolutely peaceful place to stay. Only one down side was the shared bathroom but that didn't take away from out experience at all. I suggest walking to the Kirin Riverside Cafe right down the road while you are there!
  • The rooms are great Baths are great and the food is very tasty and neat They have pickup service They have a convenient service where when checking out, you can send your baggage to Kyoto station and sight-see the city without your baggage, and claim them at 5pm, but you have to tell them you want the service beforehand..
  • Excellent hospitality by the staffs. Great food provided. Cozy traditional rooms. Toilets could use a bit of freshening up. The on-sen is nice, but space is limited
  • Great deal for what you get. The location is about an hour outside of Kyoto but the bus ride there was good as you get to see the locale as you go by. Finding the bus was a bit difficult, it's the number 17 bus (not the green city buses) and you can get it at Kyoto Station. The staff at Ohara was very good to us. We went during a slow time so we got to use the onsens without anyone there, a plus. Overall highly recomended and would love to go again.
  • North of Kyoto, that taste is not close to jakko Inn, new Inn. Dinner is miso hot pot, with 9,000 yen is the finest thought. And an open-air, semi open-air bath no sauna, relaxing!
