  • Yoshida campus to explore French restaurant under the clock tower, to eat lunch. Is open to the public, thank goodness. Lunch is 1600-2500 yen. There were signs around the campus of a college atmosphere.

  • On the main campus covers between Yoshida sakyo-Ku, Mountain West and kamogawa. Located off hospital, as a former Imperial University feel the style and personality of historical buildings. According to Billboard and dormitories conveyed the atmosphere of freedom.

  • Go on a weekend that was hard to many students view. The campus grounds are willing than I thought. If I hear a good Kyoto places.

  • A huge school which is often cited as being Japan's second best, but also as 'the best' in some fields like Biology and Chemistry. I guess it depends on how who rate the schools but as far as pure research output is concerned, I think Kyoto University is probably the best in the Basic Sciences while Tokyo University is better in the Liberal Arts, Engineering and maybe Mathematics. Comparison aside, a few labs of Kyoto University are leaders in their field. This is a good school, and perhaps the best for a few fields, if you want to study and pursue a career in academia.
  • Excellent university, one of the best in the world. This especially applies for Centre for iPS Cell Research and Application.
  • I was here for an exchange program years ago and really had a great time. Courses are so so but Kyoto is a great place to be at!
  • Not a bad university . The professors are almost an expert in their field. But they lack the ability to transfer the knowledge to the students. Kyoto university expects you to learn anything and everything by yourself and seek the professors only for doubts. It depends on each individual's style of learning . I wish the university puts in more effort and money in training all the professors to improve their teaching skills .
  • Good place to walk for a tourist. ^_^ Especially night time.
