  • Aqarium is walking distance from the station, close to a nice park with many running worn trees. Very nicely decorated, plenty to see for those interested in fishing. The dolphin show was a little different, but fun and with a beautiful view of the Park.

  • Town is up for sale, especially without a centerpiece exhibit description was not good enough. Dolphin is the young trainer's holding their transmitted less mixing of the dolphins, not do the trick to impress. Not is equipped on the way and went walking from Kyoto station, but a bit far. When I bought the ticket brochure, do not know the routes and attractions remain advanced. Because the number is attached to the exhibition to the "numbered" and I thought during the dolphin show. For the terrible events pool number, order now to unreasonable. Once there, while missing the route display and floor plan to see it back at the entrance and go out from there to the person in charge was careful "here is no exit". Is still unclear after returning home and whether it was lack of preparation I saw HP, where the exit is.

  • Kyoto lives with water leads to the concept enjoy Aquarium full of points. All 12 zone is recommended. Blessings of the River in the Kyoto basin surrounded by mountains on three sides, bring the mountains and in the city including the Kamo River (kamogawa), Katsura River (katsuragawa), Uji (ujigawa), 10 things and flowing river, has built a unique culture as a "scenic city (capital of the land of scenic beauty)" since ancient times. • This is a small aquarium with a limited selection of aquatic animals, but stands out because it presents the local fauna of Kyoto. You probably won't find so many salamanders and tiny eels anywhere else around the world. Definitely worth a visit on your second or third visit to the city, or with your family if you are a resident of Kyoto.
  • I've seen many aquariums around the world. This one is average at best. There are so many nice things to see in Kyoto that I don't recommend you go here unless you're sick of temples and it's raining. Even then consider the train museum next door which is actually worth a visit.
  • 20 $ for adult. It's not a big place but at least I can enjoy something new rather than Temple and Shrine everyday.
  • It's worth spending a afternoon for family. It's not a huge place but has lots of wonderful mix of animals. Some parts of it, such as Jelly fish room and 2-3 floor high tank will definitely give you a wow!
  • Kyoto Aquarium and Kyoto Railway Museum are both in Umenokoji area near Kyoto station. You might want to visit this place at the same time. ( Trans-word+ : TGM Kyoto Guide )
