  • You do not need to pay admission fee if autumn is one of the few spots of the Eagle mine area,. The foliage is fine, but within the many Evergreen, autumn trees itself is less.

  • Genko-an easy, so while you're stopped, but this approach is foliage at its peak, was a quiet spot. It is a temple without entering the main hall, walking precincts in the round.

  • small clean Japanese garden and so wonderful red, orange, yellow, light green leaves...🍁
  • Koetsu-ji Temple is located just about 100 meters west of Genko-an on the other side of the street. The garden of Koetsuji was originally the residence of Hon-ami Koetsu who was a noted artist in the 17th century. This entire property of the temple was granted to Koetsu from Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu in 1615. After the death of Koetsu, this residence was turned into the temple in 1656. Today the temple belongs to Nichiren sect of Buddhism. Koetsuji Temple is known for its beautiful bamboo fences called Koetsu Hedge, and it also features an elegant tea garden with three tea houses with thached roof. ( Trans-word+ TGM Kyoto Guide )
  • What you should see is garden and tea house. Green and beautiful. However, significantly deviates from the city and bad bus service, so bring plenty of time. Summer is hot, so shifting time. Fit the autumn is very crowded.

  • Visited 10-3-day weekend. Leaves early so that worshippers and the slowly and allowed visits. Pass through the small gate and on both sides of the narrow Causeway green Maple more tunnels resemble. Past the temple neatly manicured garden and tea room are scattered. Also significant, since Kyoto City looks far away. I think it is very beautiful foliage season.

  • Straight stretches from the road from beautiful. Number of Hermitage and famous bamboo fences and buildings too. Beautiful nature than anything else. And slowly spin the large garden is about 1 hour. We recommend a gravel road so good walking shoes.

Where to stay in Kyoto

Kyoto spoils visitors for choice when it comes to good accommodations, offering everything from traditional ryokans to luxury Western-style hotels. In a city used to receiving foreign travelers, you'll find that most establishments know exactly what to offer tourists and how to help newcomers to the area. To avoid paying premium prices during the cherry blossom season, consider staying in Osaka, located just a 30-minute train ride away. If you must stay in Kyoto itself, keep in mind that centrally located hotels charge more than those in the outer neighborhoods.
